Simple 3 Step Guide To Financial Stress Management

Whether you’ve been laid off or just made a bad investment boo boo, sometimes it’s really easy to let your emotions negatively take over your thoughts. Unfortunately, it’s not beneficial to do so because it hinders your ability to make smart financial decisions.
Whether it’s a small financial slump that’s getting your panties in a bunch, or a hefty and humongous monetary blunder, letting financial stress overwhelm you can lead to a lack of logical financial stress management ability.
Before you get the bright idea of dipping into your emergency fund or savings to blow half of it on some form of instant gratification, stop yourself immediately. Brand new Louis V loafers or 38 delicious cheesecakes won’t resolve your problem. Why? When you get the bank statement back a month later, your stress is now ultra multiplied (individual results may vary).
Besides, a shortage of money is why you’re stressing out in the first place, right? Even more debt isn’t the resolution. A relaxed state of mind followed with a solid and effective financial plan is more effective…trust me.
Make a List of Financial Priorities
What’s the top 5 financial priorities you need to take care of as far as your bills are concerned? Make sure you make a list of these to stay informed of your top financial responsibilities. Financial stress can cloud your creative thought process, and if you mistakenly ignore all other bills, you’re simply adding to the stress. Make sure you decide how you’re going to pay rent and eat. Food and shelter are must haves in the beauty of creative financial brainstorming.
Make a Positive Audio Playlist
This is my favorite. Some people whistle, but I just throw on a few energetic and motivating songs in the background while I work, and then I’m in a blissful, creative autopilot mode. Your feng shui plays a big role in your financial stress management ability.
If you’re trying to take that next big motivational step, try taking How To Disappear Completely by Radiohead off of repeat, then remove it from your list completely…please. You don’t want to get the bright idea of going postal on the guy that gave you the boot.
Try throwing the Rocky Soundtrack on that list somewhere. Personally, I try to throw on some Young Jeezy or some other motivational tunes on to stimulate my bright business venture ideas. Don’t judge me, it works like a charm for me every time.
No matter what it is you do, you have to try your hardest to not let whatever the situation is you’re in hinder you from taking action. Every little bit helps, but whatever it is, make sure it’s something that stimulates your ability to get into mover and shaker mode.
