Not only is it important to know who your customer is and how you’re going to attract them to your business and keep them coming back, but have you given thought to how much money you need to make in order to offset expenses?  Start up business plans need to tell a story, and that story needs to explain whether you will or will not ever be profitable.

Some people must be nuts to think that they can approach their local financial institution with their hands out asking to invest in their brand new business idea without even a broad outline of their business plan.  Whether you find some useful software or get a professional to help you craft your business plan, it is vitally important to your potential success that you have a start-up plan in place before the proverbial doors open.
